Jason's Maths Workshop Notes:
"My passion for maths education started at Teachers College 20 years ago. God used my own personal struggles at school to help me understand what it's like for students learning new concepts or having difficulty in maths. This helped me to find ways to make learning maths as easy as possible."

Base Ten Blocks:
These are essential concrete maths materials that aide in the development of place value and number concepts. They help childrenmastering the base ten numbering system -10's 100's and 1000's.
The importance of these blocks in forming strong relational understandings can not be underestimated.
You can order a plastic set from Edsco or ring Edsco to find out about the wooden sets. Check Ebay also as sometimes sets come up for cheap.
