We encourage all students’ to participate in singing and playing instruments. When choosing an instrument please think about the level of difficulty the instrument may be. Instruments which enable students to experience success straight away are:
the tin whistle, recorder, piano/keyboard, marimba, percussion and harmonica.

The guitar, flute and saxophone require more support and two of our teachers able to assist with guitar lessons.

Instruments that are very difficult for students are the violin family, clarinet, oboe, trumpet and french horn, and generally require dedication and a tutor.

A great site that is loaded with great music activities is: http://www.atozkidsstuff.com/music.html

Remember, music can be simply having fun on a simple instrument trying to pick out a tune, or creating your own tune. You do not have to go and have formal music lessons.
