The Visual Arts
INTRO The Bible tells us that we were created in the image of God and we have only to look at His creation to see that He is a very talented and creative God.
I believe a measure of God's creativity is planted within each us and thus it is important for a child's development to be creative. Here You can see the Ahipara Mural painted by 53 students (5 m x 2.4m) at the end of a local outreach holiday program run by Jason and Vanessa Caldwell.
Gaining the opportunity at a young age to practice rendering and communicating within a supportive environment is a key to early development. Children who practice drawing and rendering using pencil, crayon and pastel, paints and three dimensional media develop skill and confidence to express themselves meaningfully.
