Who is CHBE?

"Christian Home Based Education" is a phrase coined by Jason Caldwell 9 years ago. it was used to avoid the stereo types associated with controlling Distance Education practices and the governments’ stereo types (at the time) of home schooling. CHBE embodies the idea that we may all benefit from access to the resources and best practice knowledge from Education support that works collaboratively with parents who are able to enjoy the advantages and flexibility of Home schooling. 

There are many different approaches within home schooling and day school education practice, all of which have their strengths. CHBE is the idea that we do not need to subscribe to any one school of thought but instead pick the best practice out of all, for different learning needs, family cultures and the benefit of our students.

Another key to CHBE is the belief that Christian Education should be about giving and serving, realistic and affordable, with a school or teachers that serve students and families and not the other way around. 

In keeping with this vision the content of this website, is being made freely available to the wider home schooling community for the benefit of the next generation. Material may not be used for commercial use or by other schools without permission from Jason Caldwell.

Who is Faith Christian School DE?
Faith Christian School of Distance Education, has applied for accreditation to be a registered school in Queensland starting Term 1 2012. We are operating under the governance of CHBE LTD, a “not for profit” board of Godly fathers from home education families. We will have a growing team of Christian locally based teachers, under the leadership of Jason Caldwell with a strong ministry vision to support parents who want to invest in their children's future through Home Education.
